Getting NAKED3 - Review

About a month ago I FINALLY treated myself and bought the Urban Decay NAKED3 palette from feelunique.com. I was really lucky as I had my eyes on this babe for such a long time and when it was on sale at the beginning of autumn I just couldn´t resist and gave in to the temptation. Feelunique.com have surprisingly good offers at times so it´s really worth waiting for products to go on sale there. (Delivery was also quick and they have quite a variety of products on their site so go and check it out!) With 40€ the Naked3 was still no bargain, but I have to say that I´d definitely spend the money again as Urban Decays´ eyeshadows are worth every single penny! And the thing is you not only get 12 amazing eyeshadows in one beautiful rose gold themed palette, but you also receive a brush and some primer examples that come with each palette. (Although I have to say that I prefer my small sized primer that came with the Naked1 a few years ago...)

NAKED & NAKED3

As I have blue eyes, fair skin and brown hair I knew that the rose toned colors would definitely suit me and my favorites so far are Limit, Nooner and Factory; besides I also love to wear Strange in the inner corner of my eye - I did the same thing with Virgin from the Naked1 but this shade is now not so glittery anymore and I really enjoy that. Urban Decay is known for its buttery eyeshadows, which are highly pigmentet and the Naked3 won´t let you down on that promise - I swear ;) ! I didn´t do swatches of all the colors, but you can find tons of pictures on the internet if you google it.

I can´t wait to do a FOTD for this blog using this palette! :)

BEAUTY HAUL + FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Hair
Matrix - Biolage Exquisite Oil - Replenishing Oil
I have been searching for a good hair treatment that includes macadamia oil for ages! A few weeks ago my favorite hair dresser recommended the Biolage oil to me and I really have to say that I´m amazed! With 21€ the replenishing oil was not one of the cheapest products, so I was expecting great results - and I´m not disappointed! You only have to use a few drops of this oil, gently rub it into your hair before blow drying it and BOOM! - you have smooth, shining hair like some sort of celebrity that you admire in a magazine.  I´m definitely a fan of this product so far!

Face
This face trio here consists of the BabySkin Pore Minimizer, the labello lip butter in blueberry blush and the BabyLips electro lip balm in "Strike A Rose". I just recently discovered all three of them at Müllers and I´ve never seen them in shops before. As I have considerably extended my BabyLips collection I am thinking about doing another post about all of them including swatches of all my BabyLips lip balms.

Face
Clinique take the day off makeup remover (for lids, lashes & lips)
This lilac bottle is the new member of my Clinique family and it´s really amazing. I usually went for the rinse-off makeup remover (the blue version) and this one is just a really nice addition, as you can use it for lips too. Tried it for the last weeks now and the only difference I notice is that it feels a bit more oily on my skin than the blue version.

Statement Necklace
This one is the only item that is non-beauty related, but I simply had to show it to you! I bought this orange, yellow and white flower necklace at Roths (a small chain store that is very well known in south-east Austria) for 19,99€. It is available in 4 colours and you can find a picture of some of them on their Facebook Site.

Disclaimer: This post is not sponsored. Products above are mentioned, because I actually enjoy using them. All the things were purchased over the last few months with my own money!

Review: New L´Oréal Foundation

Nude Magique Eau de Teint
... that´s the name of the new foundation by L´Oréal Paris.

The formula is runny (almost like water!) and therefore I´d never apply the foundation with a make-up sponge, because it definitely sucks up more of the product than there will actually be on your face. Instead I used the Real Techniques foundation brush, which did its job amazingly well.

left: Loreal Nude Magique
right: Rimmel London Wake Me Up

The quality of the Nude Magique foundation is surprising! When applied to your face for the first time it doesn´t feel like you would were any make-up at all. It gives your whole face a nice finish with a light coverage. Perfect for everyday make-up!

What I certainly didn´t like about the product is the heavy/tiny glass bottle without a pump and that it is quite expensive at about 14 € for its small size. Further, there are only 6 shades and I´m not sure if everybody will find the perfect match. As I have really light skin I wasn´t even sure if the lightest shade (120 - pure ivory) would fit me - but it seems I was lucky! So it´s a bit of a risk to take when you decide to buy this product.

Some instagrammers might already know these pictures - it was a cold day and my little monkey and I were chilling on the couch - but before that we went for a walk! At the same time I also wanted to test the foundation - and as you can see it actually did last on my face amazingly well!! Two thumbs up for that! ;)

Clinique Eye Makeup Remover

WHAAAT? She´s reviewing a boring eye make-up remover?
YES!! And the answer to why I´m doing this is simple:

It is not always the make-up alone which plays an important role in the life of beauty fanatics like me. As I´ve already told you in another blog post: My most important advice when it comes to make-up is to remove it when it is not needed anymore! No matter how tired and exhausted you are - there has A L W A Y S to be some time left to clean your face and to let it breathe again.

Since I started to wear make-up, I´ve recognized that my eyes were really sensitive when I´m using the ´wrong´ product. Simple make-up remover tissues from my local drugstores always cause eruptions around my eyes. One time the effect of a remover was so bad that I almost couldn´t open one of my eyes, because it was so swollen. Then I contacted a friend of mine, who works in a pharmacy, and she recommended me some well-known brands like Avené. I went through a range of products where some removed the make-up on my eyes really nicely, but caused eruptions on my face, and others where so mild that they couldn´t remove the make-up anymore.

So when I heard the first bloggers talk about the Clinique make-up removers I thought why not give them a try? And the result is: I´m reeeeally impressed by the first product I  tried out! The Rinse-Off Eye Makeup Solvent Cleanser and Makeup remover has a unique formula which is oil-free, sting-free and ophthalmologist tested. (this was the most important part for me and I have to say I had no problems with this product ever since I started using it (: )

The formula of the Clinique remover is runny (just like water) and therefor the product is probably best used when the liquid is applied with a large cotton pad. I tend to dip the bottle 3 times on a cotton pad and then press it gently on my eye. Without having to rub aggressively I soon had to recognize that the make-up comes off really easily. Afterwards I just tissue my face off and rinse it with water.

The packaging of the whole Clinique line is really impressive as the remover comes in an expensive looking bottle. (it doesn´t only look expensive it also is high priced with 20,49€) Nevertheless this will definitely not be the last product from Clinique that I´ve bought!

beauty buys january 2013

hellooo agaaiin ! (:
1st semester at university is finally over and I thought I´d do a quick blog post of my beauty buys and favs of January...

1) Nail polish: Manhatten Lotus Effect Limited Edition

I´m absolutely amazed by the color. This nail polish is available in 3 different glittery and  sparkly variations (brown, red/rose and the silver blue one which is the one I tried out).

2) Labello "Lip Butter": Lip Butter in Vanila & Macadamia and Raspberry Rose

ADDICTED. yes. I admit it: I really am addicted to the new labello lip butter. It looks like the nivea one but it´s only available in 2 flavors. They smell amazing and cost about 3€.

I also uploaded pictures of those products on instagram - find & follow me: msangynagy
